Why the verdict weights the odds
A PSA 10 sells for $182.55 against $21.25 ungraded plus $79.99 at Regular. Without a PSA population report there is nothing to weight those grades by, so the verdict beside the card speaks in best cases rather than averages. CGC numbers cannot stand in: the prices on this ladder are PSA prices and a CGC 10 is an easier grade to reach.

Condition does most of the work below the surface. A copy with soft corners or a print line off centre trades well under the market price shown here, and a copy clean enough to grade trades well above it, which is why the PSA 10 sits at $182.55. Before you value your own copy, look at the corners under a light and check the centring on the back, where most cards give themselves away.
